Since my earliest moments of existence in this life, I have known the beautiful and complex experience of sharing. My “twin” brother and I arrived in this world in truly unique circumstances. The extremely unlikely product of a phenomenon known as superfectation, we were conceived separately but delivered together on a day when high spirits and excessive drinking have made for many celebratory birthdays since. Though we aren’t Irish, I’ve always believed that our St. Patrick’s Day birthday must afford us a bit more luck than the average person!

We began life like only a twin can understand, communicating in our own private “twin speak” language, intuitively sensing each others’ needs, and delighting in the thrill of having a partner for each and every adventure. In all the best ways, we were different from the other kids around us. We had lived in four states and had three first days of kindergarten by the time my family settled into the town in western New York where my parents still live today. Our classmates in school had parents who held jobs in the local community. Our family owned nightclubs, which took my father away on business for long stretches of time to cities across the country. Other kids were bored by the monotony of their home lives. Our home was filled for a time with constant discord brought about by serious upheaval and challenge.

Over time, I learned to harness the strength I had developed by standing apart from others while being so uniquely connected to one other and a family brought closer by what it had overcome.

I excelled in school and sports, ultimately earning an academic scholarship to Loyola University Chicago and then pursuing a law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. While I initially embarked upon a career as an attorney, I ended up following opportunity and curiosity, combined with my passion for facilitating transformation, to become a business development and marketing executive within the legal industry. Serving as a catalyst for change and reorganization within professional services firms also ignited my passion for coaching, which inspired me to pursue two coaching certifications and launch my own coaching practice.

I am a frequent traveler whose curiosity about people and culture has led me from exploring the United States to venturing across Europe and visiting Asia, Indonesia, the Caribbean, and Central America. When I’m not traveling, I split my time between New York City and the Hudson Valley. I love to spend time behind the lens of a camera capturing human interactions and natural beauty. I am also an avid runner who fell in love with the sport when I was eleven years old and have run an average of 20 miles per week since.
